Known as the Happy Place Gardener, Sam believes gardens should be more than just functional outdoor spaces they should feel restorative, inspiring, and deeply personal to the people who spend time within them.

Through Happy Place Planting and Design, Sam helps individuals and families transform gardens of all shapes and sizes into thriving spaces filled with colour, texture, movement, and year round interest. Whether it is a blank canvas in need of direction, an overgrown garden requiring new life, or an existing space that no longer reflects the people living there, her approach is always rooted in creating environments that feel natural, calming, and full of purpose.

Before stepping fully into horticulture, Sam spent more than two decades working within the recruitment industry. In 2025, after redesigning her own garden and creating detailed planting plans for her space, she realised her passion for plants and outdoor design had grown into something far greater than a hobby. This moment became the turning point that led her to leave the corporate world behind and dedicate herself fully to helping others create gardens that bring happiness, peace, and connection back into everyday life.
